Lanvin says "I Do"

Lanvin, one of the oldest and most influential fashion power house announced their collaboration with H&M's Winter 2010 collection. Typically I'm not impressed by H&M's products, but I AM excited to see Lanvin's creations for the public eye.

The collection is said to be available in stores worldwide November 23rd.

Little People

Hello, hello! Come gather around my new find (well, relatively "new" since Little People has been around since 2006) Little People aka solo-music prodigy Laurent Clerc is the clearest example of our musical revolution: music/bands ----> social/media ---> fame. Since Little People's 2006 debut album "Mickey Mouse Operation" was released, UK-based Laurent received much support from Pandora among other sites. Now, four years later Laurent is getting the recognition he deserves. Unsurprisingly I, along with the rest of the world, encountered/fell in love Laurent's seductive electro beats and the rest was history.

I do hate being another status quo of the masses.

If you're into instrumental beats with slow to warm melodies Little People is for you. Currently, you can download half of "Mickey Mouse Operation" for FREE on their website:

Exciting news. The second album is set to release soon. As an avid fan, I can't wait!!

New Beginnings and Endings

What occurs in life where you're suddenly at a standstill? There is unfamiliarity in all open paths, including the tracks behind you. And while you search in your head for what to do next, you feel:

Blank is most accurate word to describe my current sentiment. For the past year, I ran the tracks: assignments, degrees, graduation, work, and beyond. I did everything as expected of me, running, running, running....only to find myself..lost. Over the year and a half I found new identities, shed others. However as I picked and dropped, I've lost myself in the process. I became someone unrecognizable.

Through my soul searching, I stumbled upon my unfinished portfolio, the truest and shortest snapshot of myself. I was different a year ago. I seemed alive, young and reckless of course, but content. And well, that's all that a human being asks for right?

From this day on I plan to use this blog as my private companion in search of my goals ahead. Wish me luck!!

Disappearance!

Today, as rolled out of bed I had similar to what religious fanatics call a "Jesus episode". This might be an exaggeration since I didn't see any shining gods/prophets appear from a glowing mist telling me to save my people. Instead, it was something inexplicable, like the warm fuzzy feeling you get when a car stops and allows you to merge in a frantic highway or when get "THE NOD" from a parent/coach/supervisor/etc. Take all those wonderful feelings/memories and apply the opposite. This morning, I felt an alarming sense of dread? anxiety? (____)? for the routine

Interesting....I never finished writing my thoughts. Now I may never know what epiphany I encountered. It must have been one hell of a good one.

Passion Pit Live on Jimmy Fallon

As expected, performance of "The Reeling". We expect no less Passion Pit. :)

Check it out!

Futurecop

Sorry about my lack of updates, it's summer, the weather is wonderful making it near impossible to stay indoors.

However come enjoy my new obsession, Futurecop! This Manchester duo is shocking the electronic scene with remixes from Crystal Castles, Van She...etc. While the two boys had little or no musical background prior to Futurecop!, they had a fascination with warping sounds inspired by 80s flicks and cartoons. Their beats are best compared to The Twelves, mingled with the 80's meet modern flair. So far they have an EP out The Unicorn and the Lost City of Alvograth which I recommend highly!
